Lumber production in Canada reduced in January
Canadian statistic Agency reported that lumber production in the country had decreased 12.3% y-o-y to 3811.5 thousand m3 in January. This is 17.4% more than in the previous month.
Canadian sawmills sold 3 682.6 thousand m3 of lumber in January, up 9.0% from December and down 4.5% from January 2022.
The average price for the lumber exported from Canada was 6% lower in January 2023, compared to December 2022.
