Finland: production volumes are still below level of preceding year
After reaching -22.8% in the first and -8.0% in the second quarter, Finnish softwood lumber production also remained below the previous year’s figure in the third quarter.
According to data published on 30 October by the Finnish Forest Industries Federation (FFIF) in the third quarter around 2.59m m³ softwood lumber was produced, showing a decline of 2.7%. During the first nine months, around 7.77m m³ softwood lumber was produced, demonstrating a decrease of 11.4% and around 1m m³ compared to the previous year.
