Finnish sawn timber production decreased sharply

During the fourth quarter of 2019, approximately 2.59 million m³ of sawn softwood was produced in Finland, which is 13,9% less than in the same quarter of the previous year.

After the increase in production in the first quarter (+2,9%), the decrease in the second (-3,6%) and the stable production in the third quarter, the total sawn timber production of 2019 amounts to 11.36 million m³. In comparison with 2018, Finland thus produced 3.8% less sawn softwood.
