Sweden is facing aggravation of lumber exports problems to Asia

Problems facing Swedish suppliers concerning the processing of their softwood lumber exports to Asian clients, which first occurred in the end of 2016, have further intensified in the beginning of 2017.

Together with the continued limited availability of containers and shortage of freight space, port workers’ strikes in Gothenburg, Sweden, not to violate an overtime ban, led to additional exports delays.
